Hi All
Jerry is going home tomorrow, Friday. He is relieved. He says he can have a good rest at home. He really dislikes being in the hospital now. He is disturbed so much being in the ward. I will collect a wheelchair for him in the morning so it is ready when he goes home but he does not know what time he will be discharged. He has been eating ok today, although he still is unable to eat a lot.
Best Wishes

I hope by now Jerry is comfortable at home. I was glad to hear that radio 4 still provides good plays to listen to. I remember when our friend Peggy had cancer, they were broadcasting a reading of Beckett's poem Lessness and Jerry and I had a discussion about whether or not we should suggest that Peggy listened. Jerry thought yes, I thought no, but I've often had occasion to recall that and realize that his judgment was wise and mine was shallow. I'm so glad that Anne can get help from friends and neighbors to bolster her constant support. I wish I could offer something practical, love and moral support feels inadequate. Thank you Anne for keeping us all informed. I hope Jerry has a great visit with his nieces. I can remember when they were just tiny little girls, and the idea they would be a comfort in old age and grim illnesses never crossed out minds. Love, Nancy
